Praying with Hearts and Hands
While the mind and body are toiling,
the heart can also be at its own work. (Blessd Marie Rivier)
with
Connie Bartelson and Beverly Libby

Join the Holy Knitters Prayer Shawl Ministry as we joyfully sare in the care of God's people by using the gifts of our hands to knit or crochet sacred prayer shawls.  Our prayers and blessings are woven into shawls as our hands work to fashion them.  Shawls are then given to people for comfort, healing or in celebration.  Whether you will be making your first shawl or you are a seasoned prayer shawl disciple, you will experience helpful assistance and new ideas in a beautiful and prayerful setting.

*Basic knitting or crocheting skills are a prerequisite for this retreat.
A list of required materials will be sent to you upon registration.

Cost: $160.00
Arrival: 6:30 PM Friday                                                Departure: 1:00 PM Sunday

Pray All Ways
Jesus told his disciples a parable on the necessity
of praying always and not losing heart. (Luke 18:1)

A Women's Retreat
with
Janice Perrault, p.m. & Sylvia Genesse, p.m.

The desire of Jesus for us seems almost impossible.  How can we do this with our hectic schedules and heavy responsibilities?  Maybe, Jesus meant pray all ways!

We will learn how to integrate prayer into our daily lives by attuning our bodies, minds and spirits to God's wave lengths.  Until we learn how to pray all ways, we will be tempted to replace prayer with work or acts of kindness.  Separated from the heart that is praying, these actions are no longer fruitful and redemptive, but they become simply good deeds.  So do come, and together, let us listen to the Spirit who wishes to teach us how to pray all ways, and enrich our lives!

Cost: $160.00
Arrival: 6:30 PM  Friday                                          Departure: 1:00 PM  Sunday

"Extreme Makeover" ~Women Transformed by Christ
A Women's Retreat
with
Aline Plante, p.m.

This retreat for women will consist of seeing Jesus from a woman's point of view.  In the film, Magdalena: Through Her Eyes, which portrays the story of Jesus as seen through the eyes of Mary Magdalene - we will especially focus on the stories of four biblical women: Mary Magdalene, the Samaritan Woman at the well, the woman who touched Jesus' garment and the woman caught in adultery.  We shall see how their lives were radically transformed when Jesus healed them and gave them a new purpose for living.  After all, women in Biblical times experienced stress, illness and loneliness just as women do today.  We will ponder on how Jesus still offers us today, his love, healing, peace, freedom and hope.

Cost: $160.00
Arrival: 6:30 PM Friday                                          Departure: 1:00 PM Sunday

I came that you may have life and have it to the full.
(Jn.10:10)

There will be one conference a day.

The Many Facets of Compassion
with

Dr. Pauline Fournier

The virtue of compassion is one of the greatest expressions of charity:  Love of God and love of neighbor.  The practice of compassion inspires us to treat everything in the universe with the greatest respect, positive regard and care.  The theologian Bernard Haring had this to say regarding compassion:  "Without compassion, both zeal for the law and zeal for piety lose their credibility."  This retreat will challenge us to a prayerful examination on how best to practice this indispensable virtue for our spiritual growth.

Cost: $500.00
Arrival:  3:00 PM / Saturday                         Departure: Saturday after breakfast
